BRASILIA,
DF – Nothing divides Brazilians
like soccer and nothing unites them like the World Cup. Everyone
sacrifices their favourite multicoloured club jersey to don the yellow
and green (and sometimes blue) colours of the Seleção.
With crowds of upwards of twenty-five thousand screaming fans in all
the major cities, it’s a wonder that tourism agencies haven’t marketed
Brazil as the place to be
outside of Germany.

una como a Copa do Mundo. Todo mundo sacrifica a camiseta de seu time
preferido para se embrulhar no amarelo, verde e, às vezes, azul
da Seleção. Em todas as cidades principais
reúnem-se multidões de acima de vinte e cinco mil
fãs. É surpreendente que agências de turismo ainda
não tenham promovido o Brasil como o lugar para estar
além da própria Alemanha.

first game of the tournament – the prospects of free pizza and winning

Fans are pleased to see Robinho and the rest of the reserves getting a
start. The restaurant has set up at least five televisions and small
